SFIG Participates in CSP/Single Security Industry Advisory Board Call

On Thursday, April 27th, SFIG participated in a call with the Industry Advisory Board for the Common Securitization Platform (CSP) and Single Security. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as other industry representatives also participated on the Advisory Board call. After a recent update published by FHFA that noted the increased cost estimates for completing the platform and a delayed implementation date for the CSP, participants on the call discussed operational milestones and developmental transparency, and raised questions related to the tax treatment of securities exchanges.

SFIG will continue to monitor the development and progress of the CSP and the Single Security, and will advocate for governmental transparency and openness, as well as a level playing field between government actors and private market participants.
