Senate Confirms Otting to Lead the OCC

Joseph Otting was confirmed by the Senate today to be the Comptroller of the Currency with a vote of 54-43. Otting has been appointed to a five-year term. Otting is a former regional banker who worked with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin at OneWest Bank. Otting will take over for Keith Noreika who has been acting comptroller since May 2017.
