President Trump Intends to Nominate Brian Montgomery to Head the FHA

A statement by the White House released late Tuesday night reported that Brian Montgomery will be nominated as the next Commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). According to the statement, Mr. Montgomery presided as the FHA Commissioner under President Bush, prioritizing the preservation of the nation's affordable rental housing stock while reducing costs of assistance and insurance claims. Additionally, he has served as the Assistant Secretary of Housing/Federal Housing Commissioner, the Deputy Assistant to the President, and has directed the Office of Cabinet Affairs.
