Hurricane Irma Relief at ABS East

In the wake of Hurricane Irma, SFIG sponsored a plenary session on Monday morning to discuss ways structured finance can be leveraged as an impactful resource to support those affected by natural disasters. In addition, SFIG made a contribution of $100,000 to Volunteer Florida, the lead agency that works directly with the governor's office in support of the Florida Disaster Fund, which is the State of Florida's official private fund assisting Florida's communities as they respond and recover during times of emergency. The contribution made by SFIG will go directly to Florida-based Hurricane Irma victims. Onsite relief efforts also included collating care packages to disseminate via the United Way to law enforcement officials doing search-and-rescue in the Florida Keys, as well as food and hygiene products to those housed in the Fuchs Pavilion Shelter. We were overwhelmed by the response, which resulted in over 1,000 packets assembled for those in need.

Weren't able to fit items in your suitcase to donate, but would still like to help? Visit Volunteer Florida to donate funds that will directly support Florida's hurricane relief efforts.
