Structured Finance Industry Group, Inc. (“SFIG”) is a member-based, trade industry advocacy group focused on improving and strengthening the broader structured finance and securitization market. SFIG provides an inclusive network for securitization professionals to collaborate and, as industry leaders, drive necessary changes, be an advocate for the securitization community, share best practices and innovative ideas, and educate industry members through conferences and other programs. Members of SFIG represent all sectors of the securitization market including issuers, investors, financial intermediaries, law firms, accounting firms, technology firms, rating agencies, servicers, and trustees. Formed in March 2013, our institutional membership totals approximately 350 members, represented by a Board of Directors totaling 40 members selected from all membership constituencies. Additional leadership is provided by an executive committee, including Officers of the Board of Directors, select Board members and the Executive Director.

While the Membership of SFIG is geographically diverse, with a concentration in New York, the operational headquarters are based in Washington, D.C. – close to the majority of SFIG’s regulatory and legislative audiences.

To facilitate broad inclusion of its Membership, SFIG encourages its Members to assume an active role in SFIG advocacy efforts by joining member committees and task forces, which are designed to cover a wide variety of topics relevant to the securitization industry. Members drive the agenda of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a representative of the premier securitization trade organization, the successful candidate will interact with senior corporate officers of our member organizations, and as such, will be expected to have strong communication and writing skills, exemplify the organization’s high professional standards, and maintain a “roll your sleeves up” attitude in support of various operational needs.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Advance website strategy and continue to develop multiple website platforms to be reflective of current organizational focus and direction, including new initiatives, such as the Structured Finance Coalition, SFIG University, and the broadening conferences and events mandate
  • Manage weekly newsletter production process, including content coordination and relationship with distribution software vendor
  • Manage all electronic mass communications, such as membership “email blasts”
  • Manage all website content
  • Creation of registration interface for all conferences, symposiums and forums
  • Development of mobile apps for conferences as required
  • Manage integration of website platform with other reporting software, such as membership and events databases and oversee successful data mapping between all systems
  • In conjunction with the Education Manager, developing and implementing a new online learning portal that provides a comprehensive educational platform covering all aspects of securitization, ranging from legal and accounting building blocks, through deal structuring, rating process, and ultimately to security sale and investor considerations
  • Develop policy and controls around newsletter and website production
  • Track and report metrics from newsletter, website, Google analytics, and social media

Qualifications and Requirements

Professional & Educational Requirements

Professional experience/qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications, web development, or project management role.  Experience in the finance sector is a plus.
  • Proven written and editing skills demonstrating the adaptation of complex information into comprehensible communications pieces
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and other necessary creative platforms for print and digital design
  • Website development and coding experience (CSS, HTML, JavaScript).
  • Firm understanding of changing technology, including software and tools for Web design
  • Skilled in email marketing systems (ExpressionEngine a plus)
  • Experience in development of mobile apps
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite required)
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of working independently while working productively on a team
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills


Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, website design or similar field.
