Structured Finance Industry Group, Inc. (SFIG) is a member-based, trade industry advocacy group focused on improving and strengthening the broader structured finance and securitization market. SFIG provides an inclusive network for securitization professionals to collaborate and, as industry leaders, drive necessary changes, be an advocate for the securitization community, share best practices and innovative ideas, and educate industry members through conferences and other programs. Members of SFIG represent all sectors of the securitization market including issuers, investors, financial intermediaries, law firms, accounting firms, technology firms, rating agencies, servicers, and trustees. Formed in March 2013, our institutional membership totals approximately 370 members, represented by a Board of Directors totaling 42 members selected from all membership constituencies. Additional leadership is provided by an executive committee, including Officers of the Board of Directors, select Board members and the Executive Director.

While the Membership of SFIG is geographically diverse, with a concentration in New York, the operational headquarters are based in Washington, DC – close to the majority of SFIG’s regulatory and legislative audiences.

To facilitate broad inclusion of its Membership, SFIG encourages its Members to assume an active role in SFIG advocacy efforts by joining member committees and task forces, which are designed to cover a wide variety of topics relevant to the securitization industry. Members drive the agenda of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

 Responsibilities would include:

  • Develop and execute marketing materials, fundraising strategies, and solicitation campaigns to build awareness of and support for PAC amongst SFIG members.
  • Manage all PAC activities, ensuring compliance with federal election, and lobbying laws. 
  • Complete timely and accurate filing of FEC reports and lobbying disclosure reports.
  • Serve as liaison to the SFC PAC Board Committee. Provide reports on PAC Board activities and ensure the timely posting of meeting notices, minutes, and agendas.
  • Manage the PAC donor database, maintain organized records of all PAC receipts and expenditures, manage disbursement of all PAC contributions, handle PAC correspondence, and produce internal PAC reports and analyses.
  • Maintain PAC website and draft PAC communications for the SFIG newsletter. Identify, write, and design innovative communications for targeted audiences regarding PAC.
  • Create and maintain an active grassroots network and develop innovative approaches to grassroots strategies and tactics.
  • Institute and manage PAC Charity Match and other programs recognizing donors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key political fundraisers and party committees.
  • Track election information and provide updates throughout an election cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned to support Government Relations and overall SFIG efforts.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a “roll your sleeves up” attitude and support various additional operational needs.  

Qualifications and Requirements

Professional & Educational Requirements

General Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of Political Action Committee experience, including administration, development and implementation of effective PAC fundraising and event planning, and disbursement management. Trade association PAC experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Lobby Disclosure Act reporting requirements and House and Senate Ethics Rules, as well as Campaign Finance Laws and lobby regulations.
  • Experience conducting PAC fundraising solicitations involving multiple executive level communications and creating new and engaging content for distribution.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues and tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high quality and timely work product.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Office Suite required, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in software systems that support political involvement programs is a plus.


  • An undergraduate degree is required. Degree in communications, political science, and/or public policy preferred.
