Industry Support Makes Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium a Success

Thanks to tremendous support from SFIG Members and the structured finance industry, the Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium in New York City this past week was an overwhelming success. With 125 housing finance leaders speaking on over 30 panels, the 1,050 registered attendees were presented with a marquee lineup and industry-focused discussions centered on the most pressing issues facing the mortgage market.

Standing-room only crowds heard from distinguished speakers such as Treasury Counselor Craig Philips, Rock Holdings Vice Chairman Bill Emerson, Ginnie Mae COO and Acting Director Michael Bright, and FOX Business News Anchor Trish Regan, as well as recorded comments from Senator Bob Corker.

Panel topics were formed based on feedback and input from SFIG members, and included relative value discussions on credit risk transfers (CRT), economic outlook forecasts and potential market implications, prognostications on the future of GSE reform, updates on the Common Securitization Platform (CSP), developments in the single family rental and RPL/NPL spaces, as well as forward-looking discussions on the future of digitization and artificial intelligence within housing finance and capital markets.

We would like to thank our generous sponsors and registrants for making the Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium a smashing success. We look forward to working with you to build on the success of this year's conference in 2018 and beyond!
