Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium 2017

Tuesday, November 7, 2017 - Wednesday, November 8, 2017

Location:
Conrad New York
102 North End Avenue
New York, NY 10282

We are pleased to present the Residential Mortgage Finance Symposium 2017, the first event of its kind exploring the intersection of private capital and government sponsored entities in the Residential Mortgage Market. The Symposium will encompass the entire spectrum of the mortgage finance market: Single Family Rental properties, Non-Performing & Re-Performing Loans, Mortgage Servicing Rights, Credit Risk Transfer transactions, and Private Label Securitizations, as well as updating work on RMBS 3.0 standardization and best practices.

Join policy makers, regulators, investors, issuers, and service providers as we try to answer the biggest questions facing today's markets, including:

  • What will accelerate the transfer of primary funding of the housing market from public funds to private capital?
  • What is government's current role in financing and/or facilitating financing in the single family rental market, MSR market, and NPL/RPL market? What role should it play and how does that role support its housing objectives?
  • Will CRT transactions become the new normal for PLS?
  • What changes will the GSEs undertake while in conservatorship? What changes will be made legislatively?
  • How do the latest CFPB actions impact the secondary market?

Participants and panelists will probe the business models and operating strategies of these intersecting asset classes, dive into their short and long term funding strategies, examine operational, legal and regulatory risks to their business models, and understand how technology is reshaping the business landscape.
